In the fourth quarter of 2024, Brazil's carpooling and ridesharing market saw significant activity across various apps, according to Sensor Tower data. Here’s a look at how the top apps performed.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 388K in early December. Active users reached approximately 27.2M in the same period, although a decline to about 21.4M was noted by the end of December.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares showed consistent download numbers, with a high of 139K in early December. The app’s active user base fluctuated, peaking at around 3.6M, before tapering to approximately 2.7M by the end of the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced growth in downloads, reaching 156K in late December. Its active user count also increased steadily, hitting a peak of about 3.2M mid-December.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver saw weekly downloads rise to 103K in early December. Active users showed a slight increase, ending the quarter at around 4.5M.

Finally, GigU - Drive Smart, Earn More demonstrated variable performance with weekly downloads peaking at 48K in mid-October. The app’s weekly revenue reached approximately $24.9K by the end of December, with active users steadily increasing to about 57.5K.
